I run because my daughter "forced" me into it. She thought that I spent too much time at home alone doing nothing, and believed that I should get out and run as a way to tone up my body, meet women outside of the office, and forget that I was turning 70. So, I got off the couch and joined Katy Fit. Then, I started getting Personal Records, and fellow runners were starting to use me as an example for their family members. I lost weight, started to smile more, and got more ambitious. I did my first Half running "Angie's Half-Crazy" less than a year after I started running. And I finished!
I run for my health, I run because I'm in my 70's and people think I'm 10 years younger. But, Ladies, I do it for the medals and the BLING!
